Simon Sintering makes shaped parts and sliding bearings in sintered metal.
We produce an extremely varied range of parts for our customers in iron, bronze and rust-proof grades of steel. Compared to other methods of shaping parts, sintering comes out on top in terms of cost-efficiency, especially for mass produced parts. The advantage of sintering lies in extreme shaping freedom with minute precision, 100% material utilisation and, as a rule, no post-production finishing. Simon Sintering is certified to TS ISO 16949:2002. The properties that each part is required to have can be adapted to the actual application via the material, its density, heat treatment etc.
In the mass production of metallic components for plant and machinery construction, consumer durables, the sanitary industry and the automotive sector, the sintering process offers significant advantages over other forming techniques. The benefits include precision, reproducibility and enormous savings potential, e.g. because finishing processes are no longer required.
The following case study describes the creation of a complex sintered mass-production component for the furniture industry from the moment of the client enquiry all the way to the finished product.
