In addition to careful analysis of the raw materials supplied to us, examination of our own powder mixes is also essential for quality assurance, as are checks on semi-finished and finished products and sintered parts. The large number of tasks performed in the laboratory includes, for example, measuring hardness, establishing magnetic properties and determining levels of carbon content.
The laboratory is fitted with state of the art equipment, e.g.: ICP spectrometer for elemental analysis, various light-optical microscopes for assessing microstructures, a scanning electron microscope with up to 10,000x zoom, a laboratory attritor for process and product development, a grinding stand, a rotary evaporator and two lab furnaces for quasi-production sintering.
